Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

So I am planning on going on vacation the 3rd week in March, and I have my parents coming over, so I want chicken care as easy as possible. Would you have eggs in the bat or (not due to hatch) while you were gone? I have a Sportsman with turner, and I usually don't worry about humidity until lock down.

In the next week (or so) I am setting my last eggs, so I won't have any really small chicks, and hopefully they will all be outside.

Okay tired and going to bed. Jeannie's carrier is definitely going out tomorrow. Fulimene's eggs as well as COFs. Above is a picture of one side of swindledana's carrier the other side will be similar an there's still a tiny bit of detail to do on it but that's it for the most part. Hope you like it! :hide Yours is up next Walli just letting it sit in clamps tonight to let the glue dry properly! Will see just how much they cost to ship tomorrow though it won't be priority. Hope that's not a biggie! Well unless eggs are shipped with them of course!

Good morning, everybody! Up and about and having tea, so thought I'd duck on and be the first to shout happy Thursday! It's a chilly, blustery morning here in mid-Ohio -- here's hoping no more egg boxes get tossed around in this crazy weather! (Although I still think the mail guys played kickball with that one box. That was awful, RBF!

my birdies show up okay. I have an awesome treat hopefully showing up today as well. I am so freaking excited!

Quote: Your eggs are A-1 solid too, candled last night and had to pull ONE only 1 egg from the WL eggs set for our customer. Makes me think about keeping 1 or 2 for our own flock, but I dont need another roo lol.

Check tracking the box with chicks, ducklings and the gosling we shipped to BM6 was scanned in Dayton at 10:30 last night. They were due at 12 noon yesterday.

they are all OK when she gets them. I couldn't ship with a heat pack since we were in the 80's when they left and there time sitting here in the heat would have cooked them with a heat pack. I did insulate the box with foam in the bottom between the cardboard flooring.

Cooler out here today, 80's yesterday and 60's today.

Good Morning! Tuesday it was 63 F here....today the forecast high is 16 F. The poor chickens...cold is one thing but these wide temp swings are the worst....especially because we had a bunch of humidity in the air before the cold hit.....frost bite conditions for sure........
