Morning all! Smallest child was well enough to send to school. First time she's had to ride the bus by herself without her sibs, so we had a bit of a meltdown this morning. I promised her I would walk out (even in the rain) and meet her at the bus this afternoon. The other two are coughing and still feverish. Going to be a long day.![]()

Added pine shavings to the brooder last night, over the paper towels. That was so entertaining. The little ones ran around pecking a nd playing in the shavings. Easily spent an hour just watching them be silly. Very much needed.
I have a solo roo. I had to cull the female that hatched.![]()

And yeah, I'm strongly considering deducting my birds as a medical expense. I need them for my mental health.
