What would you charge per egg for BCM for local pickup? I have been asking $2 ea, BCM chicks sell for $6-$7 unsexed here, I sell for $6. So, today, I had someone text me asking about chicks or eggs. I told them, and they immediately responded they wanted eggs. I was like, darn, I should have said $3/egg! That just seems high

I sell straight run chicks from $8-10 each around here, super popular. Picking up locally means a higher hatch rate for them. $3 ea seems more than fair but it is regional. Remember too that its coming up on spring, higher demand should be higher prices. I'd try raising them to the $3 ea, you can always lower them. In the fall you can drop prices if need be.

They are wheaten ameraucanas. They are in with a cuckoo marans and a partridge rock from about the same hatch time. 6 ams went into lockdown, two came out, apparently none will survive. The way the one chicks neck went I felt like I should try some vitamin e but I've never had unexplained fatalities this late after hatch. They just flatten out and wither within hours.

I'm more of a big picture kind of person.  Those drops add up quick and when you do it 4 times a year, you'll be surprised how quickly you will go through a bottle.

I tend to agree. Except, right now, $30 is half our grocery budget for a week. I only can afford hatching eggs and buy these kind of supplies when I sell enough eggs or chicks to cover it.
Since each one of the 10 doses should do 70-80 chickens, one dose would last me 6 months, and the whole box will last me 4-5 years ... I'll have to toss it by then anyway

Ugh! Gas prices have gone up over $.50 a gallon in the last month here. i swear they know when I am planning a trip and I always end up traveling when prices are at their highest!

It is driving me crazy! They jumped .15 just since yesterday! So glad i only live a couple miles from work or i would be broke!!

You can offer Paypal or eggs. Read the first post on page 1 for all the rules.

You have to offer EITHER pp or eggs as part of your offer. PP is great, but it should be more than 15 and probably less than 20. It depends on how quick you want things to move. I usually really want what I claimed so I always offer 16-18 so it gets snapped up quickly and I get my eggs without holding things up. If you offer 15 PP, a lot of the time things so down and your claims will not be as quick. IDK, its only a dollar or two but it makes a difference.

As long as you offer either eggs or pp first, you can offer anything else as well. So I have been having a ton of luck with my "swap page" where people are trading for canned goods and seeds and such. Keep in mind that, unlike the other swap page, you cannot offer JUST swap items. It has to be either or and include the possibility of PP or Eggs

This works out well. People claim stuff from me now more than pp or eggs lol! Just remember, YOU have to pay the shipping. So I get really good trades, but I have to really work to keep shipping costs down.

Warning: I went from 1 incubator to 3 in about a month!!! It is crazy addictive and crazy fun.
