Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

Ok....so I have a big problem.

I bought another incubator last weekend under the guise of returning my cheap one that doesn't keep temperature (which now miraculously seems to). So, the old incubator "to be returned" is in lockdown. The incubator arrives tomorrow and it's already full to the max. I think this is an addiction and I blame all of you for being terrible, evil enablers.

Don't feel bad. I'm moving my incubator on the 19th, and hadn't planned on having any eggs in there for the move... Unfortunately, I will have at least 16 turkey eggs to move, mid-incubation! I'm borrowing April's incubator to move them and will hopefully be taking it over there tomorrow to set it up so the eggs have a safe, warm place to go as soon as I get them over there.

Received 8 perfect eggs from dahligrams. Thanks Terra!

What kind of "new" incubator did you get? All these evil enablers have me in the same situation. I bought a cheap still air a year ago for one hatch. It has basically been in constant use since then, and I really NEED a better one. I've got a digital thermostat on order to try to build a cabinet incubator. Anyone have plans showing actual dimensions? LOL

Hi There, :frow

The Cochins are the best layers in the place.  Problem is the cold seems to be effecting the fertility of the BBS flock.  Anyone else seeing this?  I am at about 75% fertility and I am used to 100%.

I feel dishonest to offer them knowing they may not all be fertile, ya know?

Tell the people and throw a couple extra in. I am sure it would be all right.

Don't say that. Your buffs are awesome!

I know this might be a silly question but did you ever hatch any of mine? I wasn't sure if they were all in the bator when it spiked.

Aye, mine of yours are due to hatch on Saturday.

:)
I know you weren't trying to say anything, it's just been a super crappy week.   I over-reacted to the original post.  We unexpectedly lost my FIL in October (he was only in is 50s). my MIL was doing okay, and now she's not.  My Mr. just left to tour with his company for the week (no valentines day for me), my sister's Mr might lose his job, I'm falling behind in my schoolwork because I'm trying to care for everyone, and to top it all off I burned the special cookies I made for valentines day for my kids.   I wish I could just curl up on the couch and eat bonbons but no one has clean socks and I can't find the kitchen sink, and my kids will want to eat something for dinner.

Life just keeps on going, regardless of how I feel.

Sew :hugs

We had a pair of adult geese come in yesterday. Buff curly gander and blue goose. They are in a stall in our brooder house until we can place them outside in a breeder yard.
