I'm confused. Did I swap three sets of midget eggs last night or two. I thought one to Bettacreek and two to Profti, and claimed three paypals. Please tell me if senility has set in? God lord 49 ain't that old is it?

CL $100 incubator arrived today! Next week I should be getting the ova easy shipped too! Yeah!

I would love to make a deal/swap with someone for some turkeys eggs. And someone that knows how to hatch turkey eggs hatch them and then I can get them in May when I go see Meg for the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. Anyone want to help me with that?

Since my favorite way to hatch turkey is with a broody chicken I can't really plan well but if I have some poults when you pass by I would be glad to share.

I didn't mean to start anything by posting a link to the craigslist ad. It seriously didn't even consider that fact that it was anyone on here. I just though, wow! Why would I be obsessed with checking the swap page multiple times per day if I could buy chocolate orp chicks from someone within driving distance? It just seemed to good to be true Its not my business what anyone does with the eggs I swap.

Honestly, There is NO WAY I am going to be able to keep all the chicks from all the eggs I am going to be getting this spring. (gulp) I finally compiled a list and was starting to worry about what the husband was going to say BEFORE I was offered these 40 Dorking eggs I now have in my incubator. So if selling chicks from this swap is wrong, I am in big trouble. 

And , After just getting the 40 dorking eggs into the incubator, the husband (knowing nothing about the bazillion eggs and chicks I am soon to be getting)  actually started "the talk" last night in the car about setting an upward limit on the amount of chickens I am allowed to have.   'sup with that???!!!???

I'm still laughing from the last time my husband tried that! I think it was before we built our house.

He's been building a cute little (12x12) winter greenhouse for me and tried to get me to promise it won't get used for our birds. I laughed then too! He just gives up and goes plays with his toys. Lets see that tractor cost more than I could possibly spend on chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, or my parrots. Limits. Who's limits.

It's okay by me! I don't mind altering our route to do chicken swaps, although my sister might get a tad miffed. Still, there will be two of us and one of her! Ha! And we'll be in my car and I'll be driving!
