I've been doing all of mine pointy end down. I believe goose eggs are the only ones you lay down (not counting emu and all those things). Celtic, I believe lays her duck eggs as well (maybe just the scovies?) That's not just shipped eggs, but fresh eggs as well.

Have you hatched turkeys upright?

I've only ever hatched the five, but everything that made it to lockdown made it out. I used a styrofoam carton to let them hatch upright as well. I'm weird, I guess, because I hatch everything exactly the same way, duck, chicken, quail and turkey, and get good results.

But to answer your question, yes, I incubate upright for turkey eggs as well.

everybody! I just got back from CPL's with a car CRAMMED full of birds and goodies. I tell ya, you REALLY want to go help her muck out coops sometime -- you never know what you'll come home with! Just spent the last hour and a half getting everyone into temporary housing and fed and watered and all my beasties here checked up on and stocked and stroked and petted and scratched... I'm exhausted!

Good heavens, I'm NEVER going to manage to catch up on the last three days' posts, but I'm going to at least make the attempt in a bit after I get something to eat.

Finally put Krazykat's turkey eggs in April's bator. I'm a nervous wreck, since I will only be here once or twice a day! I'll have to get stuff over to be able to stay here during the day, lol.

I like the idea of the wild card swap but it really doesn't do much for those of us newbies who haven't reached our prerequisite cleared swaps. I still can't do seven swaps in a week, so even if somebody was nice enough to give me one of their swaps it would be moot because I can't use it. Or can I?

The wild card swaps can be used anytime- not just right now. You can start them after you have been unrestricted
