You will have to let us know how they taste. Does anyone plan to finish off the White Bresse like the French?

I plan on raising some for my own dinner table but I'm not locking them in a dark box. LOL I will have raw goats milk by the end of the year and will probably soak their feed in it. I also plan on putting my White Bresse rooster over my broiler crosses and white rocks to hopefully get some nice meat birds out of them too.

I have a local farm that is interested in them and has access to milk. Might try finishing out a few like that to see how they taste.

Ugh. Do I have any shipments coming that I can postpone? A simple thermostat upgrade has turned into a major freaking disaster that has left me with no freaking incubator at all. I'm seriously just ready to throw it out and sit down and cry.

I would delay, but then I have to wait longer to participate in the swap because I need to be cleared Not that I need any more chickens and I was becoming overly obsessed with watching what was being offered for fear of missing something I really wanted. So I guess what I'm trying to say is I have no problem waiting. But for how long?

It depends. It could be nutrition or genetics. It will usually get worse as they age too.

I read that that is how they do it in France.
