Look what I found going in my front door this evening!
My son left the door open and when I walked up he had his head in looking around. I grabbed the pitch fork my hubby left lying around and pinned him to the front stoop. He was not happy and started growling and hissing, so I found a piece of metal from the tiller that my hubby also left lying around and brained him.
If he had snuck in we wouldn't have even known it until we found all the dead birds. I'm so glad I came in when I did. Sneaky ugly rat like creapy thing. And my hubby thought I couldn't take care of myself.

I am so very glad he didn't get in. We have a turkey sitting on 5 eggs in the basement and we don't always lock her up. If anything had happened to her I would be so upset. I also have 5 parrots, 4 juvenile turkeys, and a broody hen down there. Upstairs we have 19 chicks and a bator full of hatching chicks and turkeys. That thing could have caused a lot of mayhem.
I'm glad my hubby doesn't put his tools away too. I would of had nothing to trap or kill him with.

I've had to rid my coop of 3 of them this year, momma and then one at a time her kids. Luckily they only put a dent in my egg production and didn't get ahold of the hens up on the roost.

Rudy my old roo killed one in Jan. I found him all bloody and missing his spurs. Then I found the possum. I think Rudy's spurs were left inside him. Rudy's fine and was quite proud of himself. He's a good roo for such an old boy.
