I have seasonal eczema and I have to sleep with glove on after I slather my hands with creams and steroids. So far I have avoided a shot this year. It has to do with the lower humidity in the winter and if you remember we have GAS and I will never have GAS again.... to heat that is

They are harder to find than you think. The last pair I bought was nylon and they are so HOT. I bought 12 pair for under $20 and since they can cost about $5-6 each at chain stores.... seem logical.

The chicken related part is I have to wear plastic gloves for most chicken things too. Everything either drys my hands out or cuts them.... since my skin is so thin right now.

Is SPRING here YET????????

I wish. I sure hope this is Father Winter's last hooray! I'm ready for some sunshine and warmer temps.

I'm trying to make a window for NPIP testing, so I have to have all my birds at 16 weeks or better for that. That means I can take ready-to-mail-now eggs, or eggs for late summer/early fall, but nothing in between. And I'm TRYING to be good and stick to my list. It's hard, with all you enablers!

What is the window for NOW eggs? I have one more swap before yours so It might be the first of next week.... is that OK?

I have been working out a deal for some cream legbar pullets.

They are here!!!!!!! they are in great shape. One box laid 3 eggs but ate one and the other box had 1 egg so I have a total of 3 eggs to boot! They are in a temp cage drinking and eating before I get them to their chicken tractor.
The lady at the PO was tickled to see them and the eggs. An older lady came in to get her mail off and was looking in the box and giggling at the eggs. She said it made her day to see birds at the PO with blue eggs.

Just wanted to say THANKYOU! to CJ for sending me such pretty birds and nice and healthy! The PO lady said they were nice and healthy and FAT! as she picked up the box putting them on the counter. Then she finally heard me say there was 4 total..... She said well still FAT as she had to pick the boxes up.....
