Sterling, glad you got them! The ducks played mud rugby this week and no one in any of the flocks used their floor boxes, so sorry in advance for the ducky mud.

My hubby is planning on having my new pens finished this weekend, so I can have everyone sorted and in their own home. But in the meantime, I snapped this picture the other day. It is a pic of a golden cuckoo maran roo and a choc orp. Bear in mind that the golden cuckoo is about a month older than the choc orp.![]()

Thanks, everyone. It is just really hitting me now. I'm sitting at work holding back tears as well as I can. He is in his last semester of college as a computer engineer, had job interviews scheduled, and has worked his tail off to graduate in 4 years as a 21 year old and maintained a 3.3 GPA in a TOUGH major. He is taking it hard. I have been playing the upbeat, it will be OK cheerleader in front of him and his dad. I have to believe it will be OK. Please forgive me if I come on and vent every once in a while during this process.
Everyone,
I need to ask that for right now until further notice that no one ship any more eggs to me. My son has been diagnosed with Cushing's disease which is caused by a tumor on the pituitary. We are waiting to get in for an MRI to see how bad it is. It should have been caught 8 years ago when I first starting taking him to the doctor for his weight, but all they saw was a "fat" kid and said he needed to go on a diet and get more exercise. They didn't listen when I said he didn't eat junk food, drink sodas or even consume that many calories. I knew differently because this was a kid that had always been tall and light. He was always 98 percentile on height and about 25 percentile on his weight through his early years. Unfortunately we moved away from his pediatrician who would have noticed the difference. He is now 21 only 5' 4", and finally diagnosed after gaining 150 lbs in about a year and a half.
I will send all my swaps but until I know what is going to happen and how long the recovery is going to be I don't want to have to deal with brooder chicks after the ones I have coming in right now.
Crystal
flocks did you get those eggs?
So.. what is the new little hatchling?
That's cute, he flagged you down for help. Who knew chicks could waive.
