Went to the auction last night and treated myself to a pumpkin laced Serama pullet for my pumpkin Serama roo and a pair of Blue Brassy Back OEGB for my birthday!

Got them early but stayed for the whole thing, over 1500 birds, which put me home at 3 am...and then nonstop birthday calls and texts from family and friends started early this morning. I really appreciate them but, golly I am tired! So anyway, I have 1 swap left for the week, so someone put up something good!

I am having that same bday in less than a month. I am thinking about sleeping thru it.

DH keeps reminding me that I'm getting closer and closer, too... since he's way past he loves telling me how old I'm getting, lol...

Setting eggs today for the Easter hatch, talked with DH about getting another bator, too and he was actually pretty on board... my BCM chicks are selling like crazy around here.. I have a waiting list through April, sheesh, I had no idea!

Well! Happy Birthday a few days early! Did I tell you I got 4 Favs, 3 Blues and 2 SBB's out of those eggs? 75% hatch on shipped eggs...can't wait to see how well this set goes since they weren't shipped.

I have another question for everybody where do you get heat packs for eggs? I am getting some eggs from a lady in GA and she has never used heat packs and does not know where to get them any suggestions?

If she's looking for the 72 hour heat packs they are only sold online. They are used for reptile shipping. My supplier has been out for months. I just purchase the hand warmers and use those when needed, but it's best to only use when really cold.
