BBS orps kraftyladies is filling for me. And cluckitall is going to fill the LF barred cochins orders since she stole them when she was here so please PM these gals for eggs.

Meanwhile I will be making lists and lists and getting ready for HERDUCKS!! I'm trying to think of everything she will need just in case.

I won't be filling BBS orders anytime soon..... just lost my roo...that's why I am needing a cockerel.

I am praying for my Dutch bantams to all lay eggs today they are slow layers. On march 2nd they laid me three eggs, which was good, but then I went a week with out getting anything!! I have to set eggs for AyeUpChuck, but I may have to push it back a week.

When you talk your Dutch into laying, please have them send a memo to my BLRWs. I was getting three eggs a day from them before they were separated long enough for the eggs to be pure, but now I'm lucky to get one per day! So frustrating!

you all have been really great helping me get this organized, right now my life is so different without mom I knew mom did everything for dad but I didn't really know. He is like a lost puppy tagging along everywhere with us. He is insisting he is moving back to his house this weekend, bless him. DH will stay a few nights a week with him, we have to find a new normal. Well you know I'm not normal, lol.

I looked in the bator and it looks like I will have some chicks hatching before herducks gets here so I you are owed chicks and looking for chicks let me know, I know again. I'm back to 200+ PM's

I have fully feathered black australorp and 5 welsummers that could go on the trip to fill some swaps. I might also be presuaded to ship them as well.



NEXT Week BM6 and I are going to be able to start filling our CCL egg/chick swaps. It's a little confusing as some want eggs turned into chicks so bear with us we will get it done.

Russian Orlaffs are good to go I am getting 100% hatches here and hatches on shipped

Oldansk dwarfs are good to go same thing

I have some basque test eggs going out but they were fertile in quarantine and they are in their new pen and the rooster is getting busy.

The tolbunts are slow kicking into gear but the ones I have tested have been 100% I will have madamwlfs tolbunts when HERDUCKS goes home so after I fill any orders she has tolbunts will be going. What is HERDUCKS going to do with the eggs she get from them the 2 weeks they are with her? Maybe I can talk her into shipping them if I send boxes and foam shippers.

There is an egg eater in the Isbar pen, they are in a little pen I hope to have them out this week and figure out who the problem is.

SFH I got the 1st egg the other day.

White breese, jubliee orps are growing. I wound up with 3 pullets but have a roo on the way tomorrow. Bant choc orps are going to get their breeding pen this week.

Hedemora need to be fertility tested still I have some out and more going out.

sounds confusing so if you forget who the eggs go to just send them to me, we love fluffy butts, any chicks wondering around we will take also. More than glad to cover shipping.

I think for silkied you need two copies of the gene

Like both parents have to be silkied? Or silkied to smooth will give a percentage of both?

Just an FYI to everyone that I shipped eggs from the University of Arkansas. These eggs are sponsored by a university program under a couple of conditions: the eggs or chicks are not to be sold under penalty of the program being shut down. I don't think any of ya'll would do this, but I wanted to put it out there so you know. The birds are yours and any eggs they lay or the chicks hatched from those eggs are free to be sold. They just don't want someone profiting from the sale and hatching of eggs they are providing for free under university funds.

Now that public service announcement has been posted: everyone have a wonderful week and swap on. If anyone is interested in Buttercup eggs, send me a PM as my three pullets are laying about 18 eggs a week. I wish everything else layed as well.

I found a hideout stash yesterday from my layers. They had a nest in the barn with about 12 eggs in it. Unfortunately, I had no idea how old they were so those went into the trash. I would have fed them to the dogs but was afraid I might open a stinker. If this happens again, anyone know a good way to tell the rotten eggs?

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE GOOD, I am afraid I will be by these if they hatch and grow out as I am by my Gold Laced and Buff laced Brahmas, you don't have enough money. Had a guy this weekend come and buy a Cuckoo Marans Roo, he wanted to know what I wanted for 2 of those birds he saw with the feathered legs, I told him about $250 or more for a hen if I wanted to sell one which I didn't and $150 for a buff laced roo. Also told him the Gold laced roo he couldn't afford my price(this roo is gorgeous. I took this oppurtunity to advise him his best bet was to buy chicks or hatching eggs from me.

On that note lost all 6 of my GL/BLB eggs this hatch due to the automatic humidity bucket quit working and dried them out everyone of them went full term but no hatch

luckily they are still laying so here we go again.

Yeah my broody CORONATION SUSSEX finally got off her empty nest. Now may be I will have 2 eggs again instead of 1.

My BLRW hen is now at 45 days broody, we tried to break her no luck she was determined we even took her nest away, no luck. So we gave her 2 eggs she set on them one night and threw them out of the nest. So we gave her 2 weeks still broody, so now I gave her 2 more eggs Friday so far she has kept them.

They could be split to silkied and have a hidden copy of the gene but be visibly smooth
