I just left the post office after picking up some eggs. Sometimes, they do a really great job and I feel like after all the complaining... I should pay them a compliment.
These are salmon Faverolle eggs from Oregon. She shipped them Wednesday afternoon EST, so I really thought I wouldn't get them until Monday.
I got them today with a special label on them the PO put on in Gainesville. My eggs always come from Jacksonville, except for my last, which came from Orlando. Jacksonville usually means two day shipping. Orlando equalled three. As far as I am concerned, these eggs from OR only took 1.5 days
It was nice to see that they put special effort to mark my box, even if it was almost here already.

Although I will say it is kind of sad that I am so excited that they got my box here a day early and managed not to break it.

I'll choose to be impressed, instead!

Now that's customer service, and from a city as large as gainesville. I am impressed!

Looky what I just found on Craigslist this morning. Since hubby wouldn't build me new brooders he agreed I could go get these either Sunday or Monday.

The guy is holding 5 of them for me. They are $5 ea. What a steal. Size: 42in X34in X30in high I can't wait.

Ok so this totally sucks! waited all this time just for my broody to do something wrong(maybe)!!!

the baby died it was going to be blue too

. What I want to know could mites have killed the chick? I didn't know we had them but when I picked the chick up tiny round brown mites crawled all over me. We had had lice last fall but got rid of them, these are smaller and darker.

OMG Herducks is going to be at Snap's way earlier than I thought!!! I will get on the road now! Angela...I am about an ohour and a half from you so hopefully will be there around 11!!!

I have chickies pipping and popping! Two out so far, with several more pipped. These are the BBS Ameraucanas from kraftyladies. I ordered 12. She sent 17, to make sure I had extras because of the USPS issues. All 17 went to lockdown! We'll see how the hatch goes. The two out so far are both blue.

I love hatch days!
