I can not believe I wait until the last day of winter to catch a darn cold. Not to gross anyone out but I'm hoping it's just a tarantula hair irritating my sinus. I don't need to get sick!!!!

ok, I have thought about it. I am not going to get them. It is just too pricey and I am assuming they are hatchery stock. Like I need another breed anyway. I have enough now as it is. I need to concentrate on what I have now.

Another question, I read that Plymouth barred rocks are supposed to be great egg layers. But My bantams have really slowed in laying and they just started. I heard the bantams are supposed to be just as good layers. Anyone have these? and how do yours lay?

I've always heard bantams aren't great layers period. The only reason for me to have bantams is eye candy.

I don't have bantams, and mine just started picking up. So I am not able to give you a good reference on their egg production. I do know the guy I bought mine from said he was not getting many eggs from them. I think it was b/c they were young and it was winter. I have already gotten more eggs from them (in the short time I have had them) then he did all winter. He also wanted to start with Golden Laced Orpingtons and needed the pen space.
