Hatching Eggs / Paypal CHAT Thread

very pretty gable....what a dang hassle, just to hatch something that wanders around all over here, they don't migrate, they stay lol....I think I will just destroy them and be done with it.
It is basically a money sink hole. We pay 50.00 a year (and were told that might go up). For them to just sit here and eat our food. lol If they start breeding with our Toulouse or vise versa we have to pen up the Toulouse. Luckily the Toulouse dislike them very much and they will not even go in each's area. Hannibal has to be tagged this year by a TWRA official since she is laying. I am hoping that since a wild mate has landed and all, she will join a flock this year. It should make her a bit happier. Plus she flogs us any time we get near the Lavender Laced Pen, which she has chosen as her nest spot.

I forgot to add that you cannot pen them up. They must be allowed to leave at any time they so choose.
Around here penning them isn't the issue. They have become a nuisance bird that you can't do anything about. They overwinter and never leave. We have huge flocks that move in on people's ponds, etc., and decide that the lawn is a great forage ground.

Good morning! . It's going to be a busy, busy day here. My husband's family gets together every year on Good Friday. Everyone pitches in and we make a gigantic crawfish bisque to feed about 70 people...it's quite a production. It's held at his uncle's house next door, so I still have the convenience of sort of being home too. :). I'm heating the oven now to get a pecan praline cheesecake started.

Aye, want to come down and go with me to the Mudbug Festival in Shreveport? I really miss the food and the artwork/crafts booths with all the wonderful entertainment.

I love your bunny tracks!

I had grand intentions of including a box of baked goodies in your package, but we just about lived at the ballpark the past week and I didn't get to do any baking. I was stressed thinking it would take days to ship the package from LA to WI, but it only took ONE day! Wow. With that speedy delivery, I actually had time to bake lol!

I hope the eggs didn't get thrown around too much with that kind of rush. :O

Oh, no worries, they arrived in great condition. Candled and not even a single misshapen or dislodged air cell. They look grand. Happily cooking in the incubator currently with a handful of my Silky eggs.

YES!!! One of my best friends from high school lives in Ruston and another from college in Bossier City! Last time I was home we planned a trip up there but eventually decided against it as I was very pregnant and a 6 hour one way road trip was not super appealing at the time. It's times like these I miss home the most! Any mention of crawfish makes me want to cry. It's like my ALL TIME favorite food! A good boil with all the trimmings properly seasoned is like heaven!

You can get them here but they're not the same. And if you do get them from there..... They're SPENSIVE!!!!!!!!

We have brought them up by gunnysack and had crawfish boils up here. First time we did it, (I'm showing my age here.) 25 years ago, the people we invited looked at us like we were crazy because we had red potatoes and corn on the cob in the same pot with "crawdads" as they are called here. Now, people ask us if we are doing one this year.

I bet you can't catch them in a ditch with a net and some bacon there, can you? LOL
