Tarantulas fed, roaches cleaned and divided into 2 bins. Now to figure out the mealworms. May dump them into a rubbermaid tub and start taking the beetles out and placing them in a separate container.

Speaking of CCL eggs, I have 18 eggs cooking from my birds (for someone else). Anyone want to take a guess as to how many White Legbars I'll hatch from 18 eggs????

My understanding of recessive white is the same, it will hide all colors completely and requires two copies to do so. Chicken genetics are interesting!

I use only Activated..... I know everyone will tell you it is TOXIC activated, but the instructions are the same for precautions for activated as reg. You just use less activated than reg in you mixing. For example... not sure these numbers are right but for reg oxine you use 3.5 oz for 55 gallons of water but with activated you use 1 oz.

I clean the hatcher with activated, I add it to the water in the hatcher and incubator, I use it in all the water the chickens drink. I clean all the hatching stuff with it, I spray the coops down with it. LOVE Oxine. I even use it at home when we are sick in the vaporizers.

There are more fumes with the activated so just be careful not to breathe in the fumes that come off the activated... but you have to really get you nose in it to breathe them.

I've been wondering I have a gallon of oxine and have not used it and with everything going on haven't really thought to ask because it says it needs to be activated.

If you are a prepper Oxine I would think would be a requirement. It will clean the water (same stuff some utilities use to treat water you drink) I would think it would be great for cleaning cuts and stuff too.
