Other places don't have the same close mix as Asia. Plus, its often wet. Plus, Asia is a large part of the world surface is in Asia its a big place!
Marans can be tricky. Look out for them becoming too big to turn. If you have issues with them, ad really want them, its worth weighing them to make sure they don't get too big. If they are growing too fast fiddle with the humidity.

Nice to see someone local on here.

I almost always feel invisible.. so I have to decide I am talking because I want to talk - not because I need somebody to listen..

Ditto on both those last ones... I post late at night usually (only time it's quiet in the house with 3 busy boy children, lol and very oftentime feel the same, but oftentimes, it's nice to "vent" a litlte and type my cares away...lol

AND.... my birds from COF arrived this evening!!! Wasn't expecting them until either very early tomorrow morning or later...

The boxes... these Horizon boxes are cool!! I have not received live birds before, so this was kind of an adventure=) I live within a couple miles of the PO, so the ride home was short... The Bresse: Box 'O chicks, wow!! Can you spot my CCL's in there?? e They are all settling in for the night after filling their bellies, everyones looks to be ok, too..... THANKS COF!!!

Congrats on your new additions! What mix of chicks did you get? They're adorable! I received some beautiful barts from madam yesterday - they took less than 24 hours to make it from MD to LA. I was terribly excited to get them, but I was just too sad about all the losses posted yesterday to mention anything. They are lovely and amazingly calm so far.

Morning peeps. I feel like crude this morning. I should have stayed home instead of coming to work. Might be a short day.

On another note, I got a visit from the bee inspector last night. We use to have bees until my reaction to bee stings kept getting worse. He was there to inspect them. So we got to talking and I told him I would love to bee hives on my property but if someone else took care of them. He said he would see what he could do. 5 minutes later he was knocking on my door again. He had found someone close by that couldn't keep their bee hives on their property and would love to put them on ours!!!!! Apparently a neighbor or relative is deathly afraid of bees.

Morning all.....................

She has 4 CCL in that box 2 and 2 incase something happens with one little roo

a bunch of 2 week old light brahmas and a bunch of 2 week old EE's and likely a wheaten Am too as I think it was in that brooder we were sorting from.



Its so quiet here after shipping out the box to Profti and the box to Amyable(all ducklings) as they cleared out our in the house brooders and the double box to Daloora which cleared our 2 week old brooder out except 6 CCL chicks.
