I have several eggs in the incubator that are due to hatch on April 24th. I got them out at the farm and there is no telling how old they were because no one had gathered them for weeks. I took them to my home in Midwest City OK and put them in the incubator. There was a total of 25 or 26 eggs. When I candled thim on the third day I was supprised to see that all but 4 or 5 had healthy embreo's.(I hope I spelled that right. I just had a brain lapse.) Anyway, when I candled them on the 14th day, I had 11 eggs that had almost a fully developed embreo. I'm hoping thet all hatch!

Another one of God's little miracles.

So, my DH wakes me up today by saying, "your chickens are deadly." My half awake and cold med altered mind had me wondering which chicken had been killed by which and I almost told him to post on here to see what you do about a canabalistic chicken. He finished by letting me know that they had caught a mouse. Oh good, that's much better than where my mind went with it.

On my way to get LASIK. :):):) wish me luck!

Congrats!! I hope it works great for you!
I got LASIK two years ago, and still can't believe it. I still try to take my glasses of sometimes when I get in the shower, or try to find them on when I get up.

The best part is you can wear really cool sunglasses!

I had it done tears ago when it first came out. Best three grand I ever spent. I'm just getting to the aging part of needing reading glasses, but magnifying ones work just fine. I had horrible coke bottle thick lenses and a really bad astigmatism before, but after it was like a new world out there. Best of luck!

Quote: You will LOVE it and it was easy to get over. My only complaint is I really lost my close up vision an I have to use reading glasses all the time now. Dr. said I have to give something up... that was it it guess. I would LOVE to get my close up vision fixed... not sure they can.... can they?

A HUGE THANK YOU TO HERDUCKS FOR HAND DELIVERING MY CRESTED CREAM LEGBAR EGGS TO ME!!! Thanks to you, I had a 100% hatch on them!

I'm so sorry that I don't have my Rhodebars anymore to say thank you with some of their eggs, but I am SOOOOOOO very grateful to you!

A couple of you have commented on my morning greetings. You have no idea what a warm fuzzy that was! Thanks!

tdhenson...I'm so glad you've found your perspective in those little fuzz balls. You can do this. You are, after all, smarter than any silly raccoon! That 100% hatch was a sign to keep going!

Oh...and of course the animals come before house work! I'd rather muck out a chicken house than clean my own house any day! (but I will clean it up if you're coming to visit!)
Good Morning! Didn't finish my chicken chores til' 4:00 AM. I got some sleep. Have you made progress with your incubator (humidity)? Let me know when you're ready for some more Button Quail eggs? It's my gift to you. Let me know.
