so happy!
yeah!!! congrats!!

I could be wrong but they look like booted bantams. There is not much difference unless you know what to look for. Booted bantams have wattles and no beard. d'Uccles have beards and NO wattles. I had some and it took me forever to figure out what I had. Some were d'uccles and some booted bantams. I promptly sold them.. just didn't want bantams..... then I got SPW bantams.... but they were FREE so I had to take them right?????
yeah, they don't have any muffs or beards, that is for sure. do those things show up right away?

the other ones are TINY!!! they have to be bantams of whatever they are because they don't seem like they are growing at all. tiniest chickens EV-ER (in my limited experience...LOL)
I hope they lay teeny tiny white eggs for my pysanky! that would be great!

I have spent the last two hours wrapping eggs and trying to figure out the best way to box them :th these suckers better make it without a single crack, because they are being triple boxed!

ProfTi, Did the eggs make it OK? I sent you a Pm.... I boxed them a little differently this time, and wanted to see how they traveled.....

YES!!! Eggs are awesome.....all arrived intact. Thank you soooooo much. They rested yesterday and went in today, I'll let you know when I candle.

Sermas maybe??? It seems like my seramas grow sooooooo slowly. They stay in the nursury brooder for about 4 weeks while everyone else gets kicked out by the end of the first week. My Wyandottes this week had to skip nursury altogether, they were just to big and bold.

Not yet. I want to be I'm not a fan of online games.

I know....I am old school. I like the face to face gaming.....I really want to like the online stuff, but I am a little afraid of getting addicted!!!

Oh I don't do the face to face gaming. I love to game on my laptop! I've never made the transition to online gaming. I could play Diablo 2 for hours and hours. Then I moved on to Hell's Gate, a lot of the different city building games.

Sigh. I found my sweet little 4 week old Frizzle Tolbunt dead in the sick room last night.

I though everyone was doing better, they didn't seem as puffy feathered. He wasn't even the sickest looking of the bunch. Krafty's BBS Amer and my Russian Orloff are in there too.... I haven't been out yet this AM and I'm afraid to look.

Anyone got any other ideas/hints for getting through Cocci? I am using the Sulfamaxitone (sp?) at the severe dosage in the water.

When I get this batch better, would you all recommend treating the dirt in that pen or I can put a floor in and get the next batch off the dirt. What's better? I now have my current 1 week chicks in the house on medicated to help the next situation, the ones out on the Sulfa are on regular chicks feed.

I think my issue was they went out earlier, 3 weeks, than the first group, 5 weeks, who was in there, that batch never had an issue, and I ran out of chick starter for a couple days and put them on all poultry crumbles that have no probiotics, maybe that was just enough for the Cocci to take hold.
