and on another note...I may have a name to add to the RBA wall of shame. Scenario: 3+ Jubilee hatching eggs, I won this is the message I get:

Congrats on your win! I'm so sorry but we have sort of an issue... This morning a critter (we think a 'possum) got into our hen house and robbed our eggs... that said we only have 2 fresh eggs to send you and we are leaving in the morning for a week long vacation, now we may get a third or even fourth egg but our hens seem upset and may not lay today (they are late today on laying so far) I wanted to give you 3 options 1. I could send you the 2 we have in the morning and if in fact we dont get a third egg, we will send you a few more eggs after we return and you are ready for free. 2. We can refund your money. 3. We can wait until we return to mail you some eggs which will be around 1.5 -2 weeks. We will have a caretaker for the farm but we do not want to ask them to mail the eggs so that we will be sure they are mailed properly. Please let me know tonight and we are terribly sorry for the trouble this may have cased you.

I can wait until you return from your vacation. Hopefully the critter doesn't return and decide to eat the hens too...You can throw in a few extras for the wait, lol! Please let me know when you return and before you ship. Thank you,

So, I go to RBA and what's on there? The same dang auction that I won...to end in 3 days. I have heard absolutely nothing from these people, to inform me they had returned, was ready to ship eggs, or anything!

I am so mad right now, I could chew nails and spit staples

Thank you all so much for your support. I really really appreciate it. It has been really hard these past couple of days. I know that everyone has had their heartbreak with pets, and some recently have lost their pets. I truly feel for you. I was telling Krafty earlier that today was rough, I had pretty much given up hope that he was alive, or he hadn't been stolen, and I was cleaning the house, feeling like I was erasing signs that he was here.
It is such a relief to have him home, but I am so sorry for those people who lost their pets.

It has been a whirl since we got the call. Our neighbor is actually to thank. He posted on his Facebook and it got around and that's how the family knew we where missing him.
He was covered in ticks, so I had to drive out to Walmart to buy flea and tick bath and meds, and we just got done bathing him. He is having to spend the night out in our laundry shed, he was still crawling in bugs.


Anyway, I will either sleep like a log, or be checking on him every half hour to make sure I didn't dream it all up.

I do t understand why people are so cheep with eggs. Especially chickens I mean they usually lay an egg a day in the right conditions.

We just got a call from someone who is 10 miles away saying a rottie has been in their yard all day. Sure enough, it was out boy. Skinnier and COVERED in ticks, but doing ok
