night all......just wrangled the 1 week old monsters out and put the newly hatched goslings on the floor with the big eco brooder (THANKS KRAFTY it is a huge help) and turned all the eggs still cooking. We have goslings everywhere again, cant wait for Monday to ship out one more time. Looks like many of the early may goslings are hatching female

not a bad thing, but didnt think we would run female heavy all season either

I have eggs that should have hatched Tuesday night. I float tested them and they are "viable" but no movement and no internal pips. Other eggs are due tonight. They are not pipped yet, but were set and locked down late so I still have some hope. I put Tuesday eggs back in the bator but have pretty much lost hope for them, I just really want them to hatch, lol. I thought that I had this figured out, but to get to lockdown and then...really bummed right now.

I took the last three unhatched eggs out of my incubator and put them under a broody hen who is hatching her brood right now. I would give them a chance just because. Mine were the same way, dark up to the air ring, red veins showing - but no internal or external pips.. and no peeps..

e I have a very noisy chick hatching!!! I heard cheaping and thought it must have hatched it was so loud. Nope, just barely had externally pipped. Thirty minutes later and it has zipped. I sure hope the noisy little gets a hatch mate! I'm so excited I can't sleep

Well it's day ten on my turkey eggs still no progress. How long should I wait before I give up. I'm really tempted to crack one open but I've only got the four and I don't want to waste one needlessly.

COF, if you are looking for Brahmas I could help you out. If I have all pullets like some think I have way too many. Thank goodness I got more brahma chicks this week and I have a few more growing. From looking at those RBA auctions, they have brahmas sexed at 7-8 weeks. I have one outside that is about that age and getting a red comb.
