ha! Either I'm spoiled by silkies raised in my office ( I have about 12 chickens that want to ride on my foot. have you ever seen foot fights? if they could see each other it might be serious!) or my CL are defective!
Mind you I have only had them for a month. And its more that they fly EVERYWHERE and are escape artists and hate sleeping low. So every night we have to move them into the coop, they will only sleep on the roofs. They let me pick them up, but they don't run to me or try and snuggle. Orlando is a fantastic rooster, however, he is fanatic about finding food and bringing the girls over. And he puts his wings out to protect them when there are birds overhead. But he bites. How a chicken manages to bite without it hurting not peck, I don't know, but he does.
They are due to start laying in a few weeks, so I'll have more comments on the eggs then. I have one crested and one non crested hen, I must admit I like the crested better, Liv is such a pretty chicken!
But, I still say silkies are the friendliest chickens ever.
