Ah, gotcha. No, we would not be soliciting for charity, just whatever proceeds are collected from ticket sales would be donated. But yeah I'm anxious to find out what the verdict is from the mod.I think a raffle is okay, but Im not sure about collecting for a charity. Thats what I thought might not be allowed.
Question: what color egg would a hen lay if her parents were Turken Naked Nake (roo) and a Wheaton Ameraucana (hen)?
I believe it would be green, but my understanding is that not every bird crossed with a blue egg layer is guaranteed to get the blue egg laying gene. So, probably green but could be just brown. Since the naked neck lays a light brown egg it would be green rather than olive...unless you have a chocolate egg laying naked neck.
Thank you! That's what I thought. Still pretty nice though. I traded a week old pair of NJ's for 9 Naked Neck mixed with Ameraucana. Adorable little guys.
What a fun idea! We love our one remaining NN hen - we did finally hatch one of her eggs recently and hatched a little NN cutie (not sure if girl or boy yet though). Beth has some great EE NNsI'm hoping for a few hens. Toss some in with my Legbars and maybe my polish. I can see it now, NN Polish. Big ole puffy crest with a naked neck.
