Actually, from what I understand, it is the combination of wild-type and barring that causes the auto-sexing.I have been reading up on Cream Legbars (since I have some chicks coming in the spring....Thanks Babymakes6!!!!)
and the whole autosexing thing. I have SG dorkings, which are also very easy to tell which are males and females when they are chicks and couldn't help but notice the similaritiy in coloring and I started wondering about the autosexing thing...is it related at all to the silver-grey gene? just wondering.
I received my side swap from DMRippy today. AWESOME packaging!!! TY Donna!!!
Sounds like you need to ask Santa for a bigger incubator.I have a question about spring eggs. Does the swapper shipping the eggs just send them when they're available or is there communication about which dates are more convenient, once they're available of course..? My incubators are small and I'm just hoping that eggs don't randomly start showing up. Sorry if this is addressed somewhere else. I looked but did not see it. Thanks.![]()
I plan to go down my list once my birds are laying. I will send an email asking if it is convenient about a week before I send them. If not convenient, I will skip them and have them send me a message when they are ready. I will NEVER send eggs until I hear from someone.I have a question about spring eggs.
