Hi,
When trying to get a hen broody can you use real eggs or do you have to use wooden eggs?

You can use either real eggs or wooden but real eggs are more natural and may work slightly better.

If you do use real eggs, do you date them or just leave them.

Yes you could or just mark it on a calendar to make sure the eggs don't go bad. Once she goes broody in the night I would replace her old eggs and put fresh fertile eggs under her.
