And several had detached air cells. I marked the air cells and put question marks in the ones with problematic air cells. I let them settle for full 24 hours then put them in the bator. I did also hand turn just a few times a day - I did have an egg turning tray but I didn’t trust it. I wanted to be sure.
Humidity is not an issue where I live so didn’t have to add much water at all. Plus I read your article and that really helped me figure it out!
I used a hovabator with a fan but since all but 1 pipped between day 26 &27 I think I may have run a little hot but I used 3 thermometers to be sure lol.
At day 7 &14 I candled an at day 7 had 4 that had nothing happening and day 14 one of the ones had a completely detached air cell and no further developments do I tossed it out but it did have an eyeball completely formed but nothing else.
As days got closer it was hard to see in there they took

So much of eggs but day 24 the air cells were mostly huge!! That had me worried. I did put safety holes in 7 of them because they internally pipped 24 hour earlier. I wrote day and time of internal pip in the egg so
Could keep track. I would just stand there and stare into the bator watching them Wobble!
Then they all started to do their thing! Like I said I did have 2 pip at wrong end- that threw me for a loop! Also
The last 3 in the bator were just a tiny bit stuck to their shells like glue from membrane drying down but I used coconut oil and Qtips to moisten a stretch the membrane.it worked like a charm. I swear that when another kicked it’s shell off and started to bleed out I was never more relieved that I spent 36 hours just hovering over bator! When that happened I grabbed him but gauze and pressure on it and used a styptic pencil on it and when it stopped bleeding I put the duckling in a small cup and paper towel so that all that could be dried up and absorbed before he started kicking again. I kept him in cup only an hour or so and then he was fine.

They are sooo stinking cute! I just love them all! The Peking tilt their head when you are talking to them! The Rouen are calm and the Cayuga are Just fiesty but quiet!
