How many of us on here have been struck by a chicken! I think I fall under the "subsequent encounter" category!!

The only reason the NYT thinks this is absurd is cause they have never been flogged by a roo!!

I have a nice big knot and scab from my most recent "encounter!"

Is there one there for struck by turkey? I was clipping wings and I swear it felt like my nose was broken!

I am not a healthcare person, so am I not being sarcastic - why is it important to know How I got injured, rather than details of the injury?
Such as flogged by rooster vs. deep scratches and bruising, etc.

Hospitals and local health departments usually troll the data for trends. They are not just tracking injuries, but mechanism of injury.

If you see an area where everyone is showing up with injuries related to a playground you take a look at that playground to see if it can be improved. If they keep showing up with chicken injuries you see if you can't offer chicken handling classes......

I was just looking at the list... Bitten by goose, struck by chicken, pecked by chicken, struck by turkey... who knew poultry can be so dangerous? But I didn't find and codes for peafowl or peacocks, so at least I'm safe there!

And maybe I am doing it wrong, but I couldn't find anything for chain saws or any kind of saw so they must be safe? I even looked up 'tree' but just saw things like fell from tree, or animal-rider encounter with street car. I wonder how often that happens?
