Have you ever felt like just driving away from it all for awhile?

I live in Georgia and its pretty much a straight shot to a beach from where we live (Florida). I'm always threating to just keep driving and eventually I'll stop when I hit beach. Stress just sucks doesnt it.

I OFTEN have this fantasy as well. I have a learning disabled son, work in a high pressure executive job, and have to deal with the messy dissolution of my DH's business.

I swear sometimes it is only my sense of pride that keeps me from taking to the open road, that and I know from personal experience how painful it is to be abandoned as a child. I would never on my absoulte worst day subject another living creature to that.

I live on the banks of the Ohio River and there is darling little resturant in a tiny town that I can go to drink a cup of coffe and restore my soul. It is "my happy place". Try to find a happy place. It really can help you catch your breath.

Hang in there. We have ALL been there, whether we admit it or not.
