HAWK Attack! I'm SOOO distraught. *UPDATE #2 re: Survivor* see post#1

I'm so sorry for your loss. The hawks are really bad this time of year.

Thats horrible. I know you must feel terrible. Before I even had chickens, I looked out my window one day and there were about seven hawks in a straight horizontal line across my driveway (blocking the driveway). They had their wings spread touching each others wings. It was really scary. I couldn't figure out what they were doing and of course I was home alone, so all I could think about was the movie, the Birds. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Then I found out our neighbor had chickens, that day most of them were taken away and she thought it was dogs. She came over and asked me if I'd seen any dogs in her yard. I said no, then I remembered those darn hawks. YIKES!

GREAT NEWS!!!!!! One of the two Ameraucanas came home WITH the blue splash Marans, Madonna !!!!!!!

I'm shocked and relieved.

Oh thats great to hear!!!

I just had my first hawk attack this evening luckily I heard the commotion and ran out in time to run it off Thanks Goodness!!
