HCG???? Any success???? Any not so much success????

I have a little anology, which I use, to describe peoples' eating habits....You are either an over the road trucker, or a race car driver...The over the road trucker keeps the tank topped of, because he's concerned about running out of fuel...The race car driver, knows that he's got a pit stop in 25 or 50 laps, and has the fuel figured down to the last drop....Point being, if you next meal is only 4 or 5 hours away, and you know that your activity is not going to be burning 1,000 calories, between breakfast and lunch, there's really no need to stop at the breakfast buffet.

Okay so the two fat loading days are over!!!!! That is such a relief!!!!!!! I am not a big eater at all, eating foods all day long for two days that I wouldn't normally eat in several months was not much fun, but hopefully it will be worth it. Today starts the restricted eating plan, what I am allowed for a day is, 2 pieces of fruit, 2 3.5 ozs lean meat, 2 1cp servings of non carby veggies, and 2 pieces of melba toast (which I can't have b/c of gluten). Nothing can be cooked in butter or oil, but any seasoning can be used, and the veggies can have a spray of that squirt fake butter, salad can have vinegar (which is usually all I put on my salad anyway a good balsamic vinegar and sometimes mint leaves.)

I weighed and measured a few days ago, but since the first part of the week is the loading stuff I don't plan on measuring again until Monday.

My official weigh day and update was going to be tomorrow, but I got a little anxious about weighing so I did it this am. I have lost 5.5 lbs since Monday, but 3.5 don't actually count since that is what I gained during the fat load days.

Here is a breakdown so far:
Days 1-2 fat load sound fun, but not. Uncomfortable full feeling for 2 days forcing yourself to eat.

Days 3-5 Especially days 3-4 HORRIBLE worst days ever, constant hunger, horrible headaches, feel like crap and fatter then when you started b/c of the fat load days, very discouraging, but don't stop.

Days 5-6 Feeling much better headache almost completely gone easy to just ignore, some hunger but doesn't last long also pretty easy to ignore. Actually feeling great, no hypoglycemic events (I was afraid of that) plenty of energy even while at work. plus scale is moving in the right direction.

I am not considered morbidly obese I am just bigger then the government standards, so I do not have a lot to lose 20 lbs or so, so I am expecting the weight loss to be a little more gradual then those that have so much to lose.

I haven't heard of it, but like others have said, any diet where you only eat 500 cals a day you will lose weight.

If you have a 1500 calorie a day deficit (not too hard for me - I get that if I eat 1000 cals and have a 'normal' day i.e. don't work out) you can lose 13 lbs in a month and have it be healthy weight loss. Most doctors don't recommend over a 2lb per week loss b/c its much easier to gain back when you're doing a fad diet.

The difference is eating a very restricted calorie traditional diet (w/o the hcg) you will feel extreme hunger and most probably hypoglycemic events, but the hcg is supose to enhance the bodies ability to release and use stored fat so you don't feel as hungry and don't have hypoglycemic events.

I had not heard of this, so I googled and found tons of websites (not surprising). Prices vary from $$279 all the way down to $12.95 per bottle. So how do you know which is legit?

I got mine from hcgslimandtrim.com I chose that one b/c that is where the people at work got theirs and they were successful. For just the hcg and not all the extra stuff it was around $60.00

There's nothing new under the sun. The HCG diet was popular in the early 70's. If it were that great, we'd have heard of it between 1972 and 2011. Everything cycles over a period of years and nothing is the answer to our prayers forever. Anyway, good luck with whatever the current weight loss plan of the day is!

Well, I don't mind trying something new to "jump start" the process and lose a few pounds quick - which is great for motivation. However, I don't believe in any "miracle" diets. There have been a gazillion "miracle" diets and "miracle" medications for weight loss - if these worked, there would not be any overweight people anymore !!
