HES GONE? It's a total mystery, he was talking a lot, acting completely normal and last night I found him directly underneath the heating lamp dead. We got temps in the negative so I'm not sure if this cold weather did it or what. I've had him for 3 months now and no signs of sickness. I kept him separated from my flock for the first month before I let him hang out with my group. But now he's gone.
The heating lamp was not anywhere close to him even though his was a beast! It was about five feet high from the ground up because I though omg, he must have had a heart attack from this cold weather and going directly under the heat. But he couldn't get that hot... So I don't get it???
I was really enjoying him, he was sooooo friendly and harmless. I didn't even get a chance to get him a girlfriend. This is horrible? Perhaps this type of breed can't tolarate this horrible cold weather we are having and perhaps I should have place him elsewhere until it got warmer, I DONT know, my silkies are surviving, my ducks, bantams and even my Dublin roaches are surviving just fine with the weather so why couldn't he?
any thoughts????
