After a 2 week absence to go help my Mom I came home to my favorite chicken ill. ( It IS always the fave isn't it.) Symptoms are: She sits in the corner of the coop, dirt floor - cooler, her head is down and falls slowly to the side, then back to center, then to the side. This keeps repeating. Croop is empty, not a lot of droppings, one or two with a slight yellow tinge. I noticed vent glee (?am I saying that right?) i.e. dirty bum before I was away and was giving her yogart which was helping. No yogart when I was away, confined to chicken yard, probably more stressed, other chickens really bully her. Have been treating with Baytril. I have had some birds in the past that had Lymphoid Lucosis. The last of them died about 3 months ago. She did come from the same Hobby Farm in Ga. that the others with L.L. came from. I don't have much hope of her surviving but I would really apreciate any thoughts on her illness and any treatment. THANKS !
