Head spot sexing

Do any of you smart people know if the head spot trick works if only one parent (the rooster) was a Barred Plymouth rock? Not exactly the same but some have undefined spots and some seem to have no spot.

I know they arent black sex links since dad was barred and mom was solid black(ish).

^^ you answered your own question. If it worked with parents reversed then the offspring would still be BSL and you could sex via barring, but it doesn’t and you can’t. Both sexes will be barred or solid.

Yes, but some will be solid too. About half of each sex should be barred and the other half solid solid
