Headed out to go snake hunting!!! Wish me luck!!!

That little frog was a sweetie....he was soooooo mad that I was there. He kept kicking his little feet trying to hide again. I gave him his cover back when I finished with him, though.

Yes, you are right, Debi, it is pretty nice. I always just pout because my ex husband found a spear point once that was the most amazing thing you have EVER seen. Light green, perfect, about 8" long and estimated to be worth somewhere in the vicinity of $4,000. It was found in the same place I found this one. So I had high hopes. LOL

Hope you can get someone to go with you, theOEGBman, it is so much fun, isn't it!!!

Oh, and I say I didn't see a trace of a snake, that isn't entirely true. I saw two rather large and rather dead black snakes on the highway as we were headed out.

NOT what I wanted to find.

LOL do you know how many times my kids have watched them on discovery channel pumping some poor fool full of antivenin????? The main doc in charge of snake bites is rather cute, I think!!! LOL I want to SEE the venomous snakies and photograph them and then let them be on their way!!! And yes, I KNOW I could easily be that poor fool since I go looking for them. I am extremely careful, though!!

My poor middle son...he kept saying "if we find snake eggs can I bring one home to hatch. OHHHHHH I want a baby rattlesnake sooooooo bad" LOL I told him his father would not be too pleased with that! He is scared of my little king snake!!!!!

The arrowhead was very cool. I am not really the type to go look for outdoor critters, but it sounds like you guys had fun. I was looking at the frog in the log pic and took me a minute to even spot the frog!

He blends right in! Neat!

I really hope I can! My cousin has been asking me and now that I can, he cant! He was chasing after a chicken and split his foot open on a log. He's laying about with stitches and Im itchin' to catch me some snakes. We use to go all the time when we were younger, but all we could find then were lizards. Its a fun experience though, especially when you're also educating your children!
