Another thing you should do is Google your name & City... I did this last summer, and my address, phone number & a frickin map tp my house showed up! Creepy!
Crud... Found myself, DH and my Dad on there. 3 for 3. They did screw up my DH's info though. Had his dad's address and house information instead of ours. I'm forwarding to the rest of my family so they can get themselves off. Kinda creepy how much is out there for people to find...

This is at the bottom of the Snopes report:
NOTE: By running some trials with Spokeo, we've found that: · The information returned to paying customers through Spokeo searches is not very detailed and is often inaccurate.· Our repeated trials with requesting the blocking of a particular record through Spokeo's privacy page have found the procedure to be highly questionable: no attempt is made to verify that the person requesting the blocking of a record is the person identified by that record, our efforts have never resulted in a successfully blocked record, and Spokeo's customer service group has not responded to any inquiries. All of this has led some to speculate that one of Spokeo's core businesses is actually the collecting of e-mail addresses.
So easy to create a panic on the Internet. When in actuality similar information is found in a telephone book. Or if one is too lazy a phone call will do. I hate Google Earth, though. There I am out on the tractor for all the world to see without my make up on! Scrap!

On the very very top of the page on their website, are the letters http:// then all of the website info including your name, etc. What you want to do is put your cursor on that line and click it til the entire bar turns blue, right click then click 'cut'
Bottom of the page, right hand side says privacy - paste that link into the box that says URL and fill out the balance of the boxes
I found me and hubby on it.....took them off! I don't understand why they need that kind of information than just the regular white pages, your address and phone number.
