Heartbroken need advice, please!(long post,sorry)

Wow, just found this thread and read through the whole thing. Do not give up! It's wrong to let other people do wrong and do nothing.

Good luck with your new strategy. You can not let these people get away with stealing. Those are your birds and you should get them back.

I agree don't give up. People like this are nothing more then the hot air filled bullies of the playground. once you show that you'll give up they will take even more advantage of you. But on that same note you need to keep above and beyond what is considered law abiding. I would keep after your local law enforcment, call the news chanel, and if possible call oklahomas BI, like the FBI but its state run. They deal with the lack of enforcment by local police. Get a guinea hen and pen her up, maybe the boys will make so much racket that they will let them go (ya never know how annoying they are until you have listened to them screech for a day or so. ) If none of this works take them to small claims court. The point is not that you can't go out and get more its that these people are erfusing to return property that belongs to you. they are no better then cattle theives. Crystal

we should all call the Capt and vioce our concern and she should have all her friends call also make him do his job.whats the number and his name.

I am in NO WAY justifying their behavior, but I just noticed what you said at the end of your post.... Do you think it has anything to do with the dog? Basically, they sound like horrible neighbors.

that really sucks!! you should go public with this. write a letter to the paper and call the local news station. this is not just about the birds any more, the officers are in the wrong also. if the whole town hears how bad your department has gotten theres going to be a uproar.

Sorry I have had a tough couple of days...
A wonderful person donated 4 guineas to me and we have them penned up. But no luck with getting Michael and Sonny back. We can't even see them now. Our other neighbors believe that theyhave taken them in the house, but we can't prove it. Hopefully they will activate her warrant this week and then when county comes to get her they can see if my guineas are in the house. Until then there is nothng I can do without proof.

On a good note...
When we got the new kids (2 hens and 2 roos) they had laid an egg and by the time we got home and moved them to their new pen, they laid another. SO since I was putting eggs in the bator that I night I went ahead and threw them in too. Can't hurt!

One of the boys banged his head up a little in transport and the other roo would not quit picking on him. So we have them seperated until he heals up.

My good samaritan that brought me the guineas, also threw in some wonderful Cuckoo Maran eggs. So now I have something even more to look forward to! I wore myself out today between checking the temp on the bator, turning eggs, and hurrying back to the porch to watch the new kids play! I definitely used up my "spoons" today! By the way that was the mst wonderful story that I have ever read! I am printing that to give to everyone in my family, all my friends an maybe I will even leave them in every mail box around here(j/k about the mailbox part).

I will try to stay on top of the updates, you guys are the greatest! Maybe I can even get some pics when they come to haul her off! LOL

Congrats on the new lovies.. now when you get your boys back, you'll have a big, happy family!! It's wonderful to hear that for every horrible person out there, there is still someone willing to be wonderful to make up for it.
Congrats!!

We have the "good ole boys" around here to but lucky me my future hubby is state law enforcement. So if I had neighbor's like that it would be a war.

I love all my babies even the ones that aren't hatched yet. You are better than me, I would have went down there in the middle of the night and opened the gate and got my babies back. People do not realize that those of us who love animals, we really :lovelove them like they are part of us. Sometimes you have to GRAB the BULL by the HORNS.

" pay for it later". Life is to short. I wish you well, don't worry if you can't get them now, they will come home, every chance you get when the WICKED WITCH & her Numb skulls aren't home go visit your babies, feed them, talk to them, let them know you have'nt forgotten about them.

This lady more than made up for having to deal with nasty neighbors! She was a God send in more ways than one. She gave me the link to an article, to share with my friends and family about my disabilities. It is spectacular! My friends and family are all very supportive, but it does help them to understand what I go through every single day. It is very interesting reading and nice to know that I am not alone.

I know that everything happens for a reason andsometimes it is difficult to understand the"why", but I know now that I had to go through this to meet so many wonderful new people!
