Heat and size of eggs

I have 11 hens of various breeds, and all are laying--average 7-8 eggs/day. It's been very hot here (over 100) for the last three days, and I've gotten two enormous double-yolked eggs (like 3"long) in the last two days. Could the heat be affecting this, or does it just happen with young layers?

It just happens. Working out the kinks in the plumbing. Enjoy those huge eggs!
