I live in southern AZ. My new chicks care about 6 weeks old. We moved them to the coop already. Our temps at night are in the 40's. Do I need to keep using the red heat lamp for them at night?

I would continue heat, especially if daytime and nightime has a big gap. Feathers are good but they still don’t have the fat to keep warm to me. I have grown chickens. I am currently experiencing a 35 degree difference from day to night. The grown chickens are piled in corners asking what happened to the sun. Lol To me, that is unnecessary chick energy use which creates stress when I can suppliment at least until I can fatten them up. I guess what it boils down to is can you watch them shiver and pile on top of each other knowing they are cold? Its about the heart lol.

Heat lamps are dangerous. I have two of these for my Silkies. The reviews are mixed, but if you put them close to where the chickens are, they work. Manufacturer says they are safe for all bedding types, but they do get a little hot so I set them on a board or a couple of bricks and make sure there's not any straw or bedding directly touching them. They've been great.

I can't get this link to be live, but Chewy's one place you can get them - Cozy Coop Heater.

2x heat lamps = fire danger
If your coop is draft free & good layer of bedding for the 6wk olds, think they'll be fine. However I hope you acclimated to the outside before putting them out. Depending on how big your coop is. Check on them when it gets dark to see where they prefer to be, making a "cozy, huddle" area.

Oh heavens guess I better get a heat lamp. NOT.. My 2 hens and 2 pullets sleep on top of each other most of the time. Funny thing is they didn't do that when the weather was -20F with a wind chill of -40F. IDK.

At 6 weeks they should have been off heat already, but since you are still using the lamp, I would raise it 6" - 8" every night to get the heat away from them, if you can. If you can't raise the lamp, put a huddle box in the coop, they may not even use it. They may just huddle in a corner, which is fine.

My Silkies sleep in a 'straw cave' - a big wooden box insulated all around with flakes of straw, lots of straw inside and a small opening - yes I pamper, but as they get older I find they shiver a bit when it's really cold. They are toasty warm in their cave. Maybe a bit nuts, but that's me!
When I tell them to "Go to bed." they do this:
