Hi,
We live in Colorado and we just had our first snow storm with over night lows of 11 degrees. We have 6 Rhode Island Reds. How much heat should we put in their Coop. We have a Cozy coop now and we shut them in at night also close their window. She we add another Cozy coop or are they ok.

Adult chickens don’t need heat any more than the wild birds do. They have down jackets.

Is there other ventilation when the window is closed?
That's more important than heat...and a well ventilated coop will not 'hold heat' anyway.
