Great work Hedwig! Instead of delivering mail she is delivering breakfast!

Thanks! Yes, my 12 year old named her!☺Beautiful egg. I’m hoping to get that color from me EEs, I’ve got my fingers crossed for blue or green eggs!
She is a beautiful chicken to! she fits her name very well! (Hedwig is the snowy owl from Harry Potter right?)
She’s beautiful! Opal has some gold and silver lacing in her but as an EE, she doesn’t quite live up to those splash Ameruacanas! How old is Hedwig? My EEs hatched June 6th and I’m obsessively checking the nest box for that first blue or green egg! Thanks! Yes, my 12 year old named her!☺
Thanks! I purchased her as a 10 week old pullet from a breeder. Not sure of her exact birthdate, but it was early May this year. Puts her right around 6 months, I'm guessing around 25 to 26 weeks of age, which is not unusual for Ameraucanas from what I have read. I believe EE start laying around the same age, maybe a bit earlier. Can't wait to see what color Opal lays! I had two EEs in a past life that both laid green/blue eggs. One was more aqua and one was more mint geen. Be sure to post photos, so much fun to see everyone's eggs! ☺She’s beautiful! I got two EEs with this years pullets. (Opal and Jellybean) and both are getting close! 22 weeks old today. Honestly my SLW is going to drop an egg any day now. Her comb and wattle are bright bright red, and very Developed! I’ve got the hens molting so if the pullets lay an egg, I’ll know it’s from them. I’ll probably put food dye in their vents, to figure out who’s egg is who’s, however I haven’t researched it quite yet so I’m not entirely sure how safe it is.Thanks!
