We are getting even with the city folks. We attracted a cat to our country home, and it had 5 kittens which are 3 weeks now. These do not enter our house and live in my shop. Another stray adopted our porch in the meantime and is pregnant, very. Lying on concrete and all. We have a lot of space and buildings, including a 4000 sq. ft. oak barn full of chickens and donkeys, with space to spare. My wife is going to TSC to get a carrier to take it to the humane shelter for adoption. I cant decide weather to laugh or cry.

Please have the cat spayed. There are trap and release programs that will help you with that. It helps no one to have thousands of unwanted cats that fill up the shelters or kill native songbirds.

The shelter does that for sure. We are on a farm next to farms and woods. Any cat you throw a chicken breast chunk to will stay, and she got too attached to let them live as all the cats here do. With a couple of hundred chickens we have mice everywhere and the neighbors all have yard cats they feed during the winter....see how it is? Kind of an Orwellian Animal Farm, and I am the horse.

Five kittens and momma are doing fine. 4 black and one completely grey. Gonna spay or neuter all and keep them apparently....

I am not sure about native songbirds, there were a lot here when my parents were but I don't feed them. Unless the 20 roosters that free range 24/7 fall into songbirds. Just big and loud ones..... They have to be loud in order to be louder than our mini-donkeys. hoo boy.
