Hello all!

Thank you that is very helpful I got mine at a similar store I do have a tractor supply within driving distance tho I will have to check it out.
I hope to let mine range as well anyway so if it's not nutritional I might as well save my money, I know I will spend it elsewhere.
Do you think giving them earthworms would be any better?
I read somewhere that chickens can get worms(like the bad kind) from eating earthworms, so I wouldn't really recommend giving them that kind of worm, but I'm not totally sure. I don't even know if they would sell earthworms unless you were planning to dig them up. :)

Thank you! And aren't they just the best? Haha I am very very happy with everything I've heard about barred rock hens and they seem to live up to it for sure!

I wanted to add to my love for my precious Barred Rock Pullets. One of them, Sue, is my very first layer! She laid her first egg at one day short of 19 weeks. My other BR pullet is showing signs that she'll possibly start laying within the next few weeks or so, maybe before, maybe after. I knew the Sue was a bit grumpy, which is unusual for my BR girls. Even with her moodiness, it's not changed her status in the pecking order. They're still the bottom 2
