I am from Conroe TX and currently have a variety of pet chickens.
My problem is that one of my new babies, now 3 months old had an impacted crop. I flushed it out and found nothing out of the ordinary. I have had her separate from the others and on soft diet. Her crop is still stopped up. I can feel pebbles and gravel in the crop and they will not come up when I flush her crop. I have also been giving her oil hoping the pebbles will pass. They have not passed and I don't know what to do. Should I consider crop surgery? I have never done this before. I am unable to afford a vet visit much less surgery on my baby.
I hope someone one can give me some advice.
Thank you for your time.
