the bottom one I was wondering about welsummer? how big are they, they look kind of large in the picture.

Actually they are about the size of our welsummers which are about four months old

I would look at welsummer and brown leghorn. if they are OEGB they are pretty big for the breed.

Can anyone help me determine if he,Conway is in fact a splash OEGB. I know bantam for sure,thought I knew splash for sure until someone told me his slate colored legs made him NOT an OEGB.. Thanks for any responses!

He is a splash American game bantam.

Could be Splash OEGB or Splash American Game. Both have bluish slate legs (the exact descriptive term in book might be different but I for one am not clear on the difference between "bluish slate and leaden blue" hopefully one of the judges will be along and explain it with actual quotes from the standard. If I remember right the beak color is wrong but I don't know where my ABA Standard is. Where did you get him? If from a breeder simply ask them. Otherwise I wonder at a cross with that beak color and what looks to be white earlobes on my screen.

If it was from a bantam ben in a feed store then it could be most anything and yet seldom a cross, The hatchery stock is seldom correct in size, feather, or body type for the breed but make for decent hardy pets. Enjoy them for what they are. Could be virtually anything but Dutch may be an option with the single comb and white lobe.
