I am very new to having chickens, I got mine about 3 weeks ago. I have 20 birds total: 3 adult Rhode Island reds, 5 Rhode Island chicks, 5 Golden Comet chicks, 5 Australorp chicks, and 2 ducklings. So far, I love building things for them, converted a shed to be a coop, built perches, toys, among other things. I also love watching the chicks, bonding with them and building their trust. My other hobbies include sewing, drawing, dog walking, and dog training. And I live in the middle of a desert with my mom. Between the two of us, we have 3 dogs, a Pit Bull/Bully mix who is my service dog, a Cocker Spaniel, and a Sheltie mix. I also have a silver tabby cat who acts more like a dog. Before Covid-19, I worked as an auto detailer at a used car dealership. Not a job I love, but I did love the company. But animals are my life. I am dedicated to all my animals and I'm working to go to school to be a certified balanced dog trainer.
