Hello! Welcome to BYC!! I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. Most important to keep the humidity in the coop down than to keep it warm. Best wishes to you.

Sorry you had such a rough start with your chickens. Keep in mind the coop doesn't necessarily have to be warm. Lots of ventilation is most important to let moisture escape. Removing droppings regularly and not keeping a water supply inside the coop will also help.

Welcome Nice to have you here! Keeping the coop dry and draft free but still provide good ventilation are key! Living in Wisconsin with chickens for 10 years I never added heat. Check out the links provided and you will find some good info on ‘winterizing’
