We have a small flock of 5 hens and 1 rooster in our backyard--2 barred rocks, 1 silver laced Wyandotte, 1 buff Orpington, and 2 Welsummers.
We will probably be adding new chicks next Spring, and I would love to split an order to save on shipping, etc., if anyone is close. Alternatively, if you have legbars and Speckled Sussexes, I'd love to buy locally.
Also, if anyone is interested in fertile Welsummer eggs, I'd be happy to put them aside for incubating at $3/egg (pick up only). My little Welsummer is by far the best layer in my flock and the rooster is quite stunning, so I'd expect good chicks from the eggs. Obviously, I can only offer a few eggs as I have only one Welsummer layer, but 3 eggs at a time should be viable for incubating on the same day.
