In fact I like them all A breeder nearby has the so called "brown-porcelain", "striped" and brown and yellow ones.

Oh, they're really beautiful! I cannot find them by german breeders, but I think the german equivalent could be "schwarz-weiß gescheckt". I've to learn a lot more, I believe

Welcome from Southeast Missouri. Are you buying baby chicks or grown pullets? There are advantages to both.

We want to start with grown ones. Perhaps we want to raise our chicken family in two or three years. Then baby chicks would be first choice.

Oh I'm silly! You mentioned his breed already! Flat coated retrievers have become somewhat popular here in the last 20 years or so.

Whether Eva is a lady remains to be seen. Her real name is "Resident Eva" after the movie title. Sometimes we call her "Eva Destruction" after that song title. We love her but she is a pain in the neck too.
