Hello,

This past summer my soon to be husband bought me 4 chicken and built me a coop for my birthday. Best birthday present ever! We wanted the chickens for fresh eggs and decided to add a few more to our flock. We went to a small farm to buy 4 more chickens and we ended up buying the farm! We acquired a small flock of Barred Hollands and were excited to find out that they are rare. We also have some Welsummer, Barnevelder, and Americuana hens but no roosters. Last but not least, we have 3 Bantam hens and 3 Bantam roosters that we love to watch and hope to add to!

We found this site searching on line to try and learn what we can about our new pets/hobby.

Thanks for having us!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens!

 You bought the Farm!

Isn't that Gangster talk for murder? :gig

I hope move out to the country and get to have Roosters one day! :fl

I love it! You not only hit the Powerball with the Barred Hollands, but you hit the MegaMillions buying the farm. You are one lucky girl and I’m tickled for you.
You have come to the right place for anything and everything chicken, whenever you want it! How lucky can you be? I’m glad to have you in the same club I’m in, CCC, which stands for Chicken Crazy Club! :lau You will fit right in.
