I had one of the dark brown roos in with the girls but they beat the crap out of him as he was a newbie to their cage so I put him back in with the other dark brown ones.

Winters are pretty harsh so if you're not a nanook of the north, the other seasons are better. That's like from July to October ..... the other 8 or 9 months we are under like 3 or 4 feet of snow.

Super cute! I love quail, I think I'm going to try to raise them again.

You might try integration at night, it works great with chickens. Although I have to admit I'm not that great with the whole quail getting along thing, mine got along for ...maybe a week?
